Terms of Service

Last updated 7 September 2026 ·

These terms cover two different things that arrive together: the hardware you buy, and the online service that hardware talks to. They are separated below because they fail differently and are owed different things.

1. The hardware

You buy a physical controller. It is yours. It keeps its schedule and its settings on the device itself, so it continues to do its job whether or not you keep using our service, and whether or not our service exists.

Warranty period: from delivery, covering manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage from incorrect mains wiring, water ingress beyond the enclosure rating, lightning or surge damage, rodents, or a unit that has been opened or modified.

2. Installation is mains electrical work

These controllers switch mains voltage. Installation must be done by a competent person in accordance with local electrical regulations. We supply the wiring interface document with the unit; we are not responsible for the installation itself, and no instruction on this site replaces a qualified electrician.

3. The service

The smilynk cloud stores your schedules and history, enforces schedules that you have asked it to run, sends alerts, and lets you control the device remotely. It is provided as it stands. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted.

What that deliberately does not affect: a run already started completes on the controller, and a controller with a schedule stored on it keeps its own behaviour. We design the product so that an outage on our side is an inconvenience and not a crop failure — but you should size your installation on that basis rather than on an assumption that our servers are always reachable.

4. Your account

5. What we will not do

6. Liability

Our liability in connection with a product or the service is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. We do not exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Irrigation and switching equipment operates plant, pumps and mains loads. You remain responsible for the safety devices appropriate to your installation — a dry-run cutout on a pump, an overload device on a motor, an RCD on the supply.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. If a change materially reduces what you are owed on an order already placed, the terms in force when you placed that order continue to apply to it.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at have jurisdiction over any dispute.

9. Grievances

Write to or call . See Contact for how quickly you should expect to hear back and what to do if you do not.
